2019 information will be available closer to the show

Hall 5 | We’ve got lots of fun activities the whole family can enjoy. Get excited about a classic cottage pastime with the Learn to Fish team! Find program locations in your area, build a Lucky Strike fishing lure, and try hooking the big one on the fishing simulator!

Already a fan of fishing? Get a hands-on tutorial of Fish ON-Line and find out what fish you can catch in your lake. Staff from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change will also be on-hand to discuss safety for consuming your catch and provide free copies of the Guide to Eating Ontario Fish.

Do you know your Ontario fish species? Practice your fish identification skills at our aquariums featuring 15 different species and ask our Fish Culture staff all your whole cast of questions.

Stay bear wise in cottage country! Find out what if you encounter a bear, how to manage attractants on your property, and take part in some interactive activities for kids and adults. Meet our MNRF staff from across Ontario and find out how they work with wildlife in the backcountry.

Still haven’t renewed your Outdoors Cards? Visit our staff for renewals, hunting and fishing licences, and to enter the antlerless deer draw. Knowledgeable staff, including conservation officers, will be on-site to answer all of your hunting and fishing inquiries.

Did you know lawn furniture can be the cause of your home or cottage catching fire when a wildland fire burns nearby?  Stop by to speak to our firefighting staff about the FireSmart program. Learn which plants resist fire better than others.  We have a step-by-step guide to assess your home and yard which will help you reduce the risk of damage or loss of property from burning embers. Are you planning to build in a forested area?  We have a brochure that talks about design, materials, and even types of fencing.
