The Main Stage is your destination for entertaining presentations about cottage ownership, buying and selling, renovations and DIY tips, and the latest in cottage design trends. Our experts will help you get the most of your cottage life.

Dave Depencier, host of Reno my Reno on Cottage Life Television will be talking about what it takes to complete a successful renovation. You can catch him on the Main Stage all weekend.

Dave is an experienced carpenter and homebuilder who specializes in custom homes including log and timber frame construction. When he isn’t busy building, Dave enjoys playing hockey, squash, cycling and coaching his kid’s sports teams in Dresden, Ontario where he lives with his wife and two children.

Dave’s passion to become a contractor began at the age of 13 once he started working for his uncle’s construction company in the small town of Thamesville, Ontario. After earning a degree in construction engineering and spending some years on a framing crew he formed his own company at age 23. Whether involved in ground up or retrofit construction Dave knows how to balance both style and budget while maintaining the high standards that have earned him a well-deserved reputation in the industry.

You don’t have to look too much further than your recycling bin or outside your front door to find DIY decor inspiration. Using everyday household items and some creativity, designer Cynthia Zamaria will show you how easy it is to make home accessories that reflect the season’s hottest trends.

With her infectious creative energy, confident style and warmth, Cynthia turns spaces into happy, beautiful, lived-in-and-loved homes. Known for her signature design look, Cynthia blends high and low, new and old, treasures and trash, big-box and boutique, DIY and couture.

Cynthia’s work is regularly featured in design media including Apartment Therapy, Style at Home Magazine, Good Housekeeping Magazine, Woman’s Day Magazine and the Globe and Mail. Cynthia appears as a guest design expert on Samantha Pynn’s HGTV show, The Mix and is recognized for having the episode’s best house on HGTV’s Four Houses competitive series.

Offering everyday inspiration on her lifestyle blog, Cynthia also leads workshops and presents at popular events where she celebrates her love for things homemade and and shares her passion for flower farming and the outdoors.

Splitting her time between Toronto and Rice Lake, Cynthia lives with her husband Graham and school-aged children Ben, Ruby and Theo.

Matt Logan, a ISA certified Arborist will take the stage to educate cottage owners about proper tree care and modern tree care practices. Learn the do’s and don’ts of keeping those cottage trees looking and feeling great.
